Castellated beams are manufactured by cutting a hotrolled beam (H andI) lengthwise, using computer controlled machine, often in a half-circle or half hexagon pattern. The split halves are then offset and welded back together to from a deeper beam with full circular or heagonal shaped web openings. The resulting beam is approximately 50% deeper and much stronger than the orginal hot rolled beam Bay Steel and Iron offers castellated beams for highly architecturak and cost-effective structural option. Because of our experience and engineering knowledge we are manufacturing different size castellated beams upon request of our customer, alse we provide to our customer engineering and technical support catellated beam
